2023年8月8日未明に、ハワイ州マウイ島にて最初の火災が発生。次々と島内の他の場所でも火災が発生し、過去100年間に米国で起きた山火事として最悪の被害と言われています。

ピースボート災害支援センター（PBV）は、これらの状況を受けて、Peace Boat USなど海外のネットワークを通じて情報収集を行っています。

In response to the recent wildfires in Hawaii, the Peace Boat Disaster Relief Center (PBV) has launched a fundraising campaign in cooperation with local organizations to provide support to communities in Maui. Donations will be used to provide emergency supplies (food, drinking water, distribution of daily necessities, medical services, etc.) and other emergency relief activities that meet the needs of the affected areas.
